# Lornos > Lornos is an API-first retrieval service. A workspace uploads its documents, and its product gets streamed answers that cite the exact passages they came from. An answer may cite only passages retrieved for that request, each workspace has its own index, and every request reports which passages were retrieved and how long each stage took. Lornos is in private beta. These files are Markdown copies of the public pages: the homepage, the help center and the API reference. Figures on the homepage come from a demo help center of 42 articles. ## Product - [Homepage](https://lornos.dev/index.md): what Lornos does, shown with one demo question from upload to citation. ## Help center - [Help center index](https://lornos.dev/docs.md): every guide by section. - [Getting started](https://lornos.dev/docs/getting-started.md): From an early-access request to a cited answer in your own app. - [Sources](https://lornos.dev/docs/sources.md): Upload documents, follow their indexing, index them again or delete them. - [Jobs](https://lornos.dev/docs/jobs.md): What each indexing state means and what to do when a run fails or stalls. - [Playground](https://lornos.dev/docs/playground.md): Ask your workspace a question and see the passages and timings behind the answer. - [API keys](https://lornos.dev/docs/api-keys.md): Create keys for your own app, choose their scopes and revoke them. - [Members and roles](https://lornos.dev/docs/members.md): Who can open a workspace, and what owners, admins and members can do. - [Citations](https://lornos.dev/docs/citations.md): How answers cite passages, how citations are checked and what happens to one that fails. - [Limits](https://lornos.dev/docs/limits.md): Questions per minute and per day, upload sizes and what happens over a limit. - [MCP server](https://lornos.dev/docs/mcp.md): Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients to your workspace and ask it questions. - [What's next](https://lornos.dev/docs/whats-next.md): What works today, and what we are building next. ## API - [API reference](https://lornos.dev/docs/api.md): Ask questions, upload documents and follow their indexing with the Lornos API. ## Optional - [Everything in one file](https://lornos.dev/llms-full.txt): the homepage, every guide and the API reference.
