# Limits

Questions per minute and per day, upload sizes and what happens over a limit.

## Questions

By default each workspace can ask 30 questions a minute and 500 a day. The playground and every API key count together.

Over a limit, `POST /api/chat` answers `429` with a `Retry-After` header, in seconds, and this body:

Wait the number of seconds in `Retry-After`, then ask again.

## Answers

An answer cites at most five distinct passages. The API's source list returns the 200 most recent sources.
